Health & happiness

If you choose our care home in Church Stretton, Shropshire, you can make the most of our beautiful location, landscape, and residential care home.

Stretton Hall is set in the heart of All Stretton, a small village in Church Stretton surrounded by rolling hills. The 18th century-period building, which was once a grand hotel, has been redeveloped to create private living spaces with state-of-the-art care equipment.

The home’s 50 bedrooms are all en-suite and characterful. Some retain original period features and enjoy views over the beautiful Shropshire Hills, others are modern with French doors opening up to landscaped patio areas. All rooms are cared for by the hard-working staff team, including the general manager who oversees the home, ensuring all expectations are met.

The sitting rooms are the focal points of the home. Here, residents can share morning tea and meet their visitors. Residents regularly gather for activities and entertainment or visit the popular Poppy lounge which is the perfect spot for our lively coffee mornings. It’s a place for socialisation and relaxation where you can make the most of our beautiful space when living here at Stretton Hall Nursing Home.

I still cannot thank the group and Stretton Hall enough for their care of looking after mother. Now I am visiting more times each week since opening back up, Mum is looking amazing. She is so happy. She loves all the staff. They work really hard taking good care of Mum.

Such a happy home. Beautiful building, well-kept gardens, delightful staff, and a caring environment. It is always a pleasure to pull up outside Stretton Hall; there is an atmosphere of calm, of interest, of attention to detail, and mostly, being one big family.

Friend of resident

After making the difficult decision to move my aunt into Stretton Hall Care Home, we have been comforted by the level of support and care she has received. Initially, for respite care, but more recently, in the Garden Suite, we cannot fault the commitment of all the staff under the leadership of the manager to the wellbeing of all residents.

This weekend, we rolled up our sleeves and baked our very own bread, led by our resident and former head chef, Charlie.

From mixing and kneading to the finished loaves, everyone enjoyed being part of the process. Looking at the before & after photos, we’re sure you’ll agree the results looked wonderful and we’re certain they tasted just as good 👨‍🍳
